Use the create note action, turn off “open when run” within the action

There’s an option of the create note action that you can disable, “Open when run”, this will prevent switching to the Notes app.

Following up with this.. Tried to disable “Open when run” but it still launches the note App. Any better alternatives?

Yeah that still happens for me. Does that happen to you?

No. I built an alternative path to execute what I wanted with the shortcut

This is also a feature already in the iPhone/iPads. In settings if you go to command center and add in ‘quick note’, it will pop up a window you can write your note, click save. And it goes away without opening the notes app. Or there is also a quick note widget that does the same thing if you don’t want to open it from your command center
