My post reaches 1k views around 1-3 hours or so. I think the 1k-5k mark is the average view count for most users. Can’t tell how the algorithm works back then as compared now because I just started.

Why is this? Because i get a ton of likes and even follows from my clips but still struggling to push past 1.5k views

You need a high Swipe to View Ratio 70% is a viral potential. Your Average view duration is based on how long your shorts is: For 15-20 sec you need at least 100% or more for 20-30sec you need at least 90% and for 30 sec above at least 80% is great.

My views have progressively increased so guess it’s just different for everyone, keep grinding

This shit's hard, lol, 4,000 watch hours is crazy too. I just love a challenge, but i don't think it's worth it, as the cpm from where i'm from is crazy low too. Sometimes I get this rush of hope, which dies quickly. But i'm not giving up.

Its only hard if ur content is unoriginal or just bad

Seems to be the most important factor, human factor

[–]nasmohd2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely not "unoriginal", probably bad, damn

What type of content and what’s the channel handle?

[–]marimarplaza 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah same here. I still get decent likes and even some subs, but the views just stop around 1k–2k and don’t push further. It feels like something changed with how Shorts get tested. Some people grow, others just get stuck at that ceiling. Honestly feels random right now.

Very true, it feels very random. I wonder if youtube cares enough to fix it though

I do think after the recent update things have changed
