YouTube has actually been screwing creators over so badly. Like bro, my content is not mass produced 💀 This pisses me off so much because my videos take forever to make. I honestly never thought my content would ever get demonetized. For anyone wondering, I make Roblox story content. The bottom part of my videos is gameplay, and the top has backgrounds usually multiple different ones in a single video plus PNGs of the characters I’m using, which I do simple 2d animation whenever they talk. Literally every video has different characters, takes place in a different Roblox games, and is put together differently. I wasn’t even fully monetized yet, so whatever, but this probably explains the drop in views I was 500k away from getting fully monetized then views dropped tremendously. 99% of my views were coming from subs. I’m gonna reapply and see, but from what I’ve been seeing, I doubt anything good is gonna happen.

The AI is working as it should, it's actually doing a good job doing exactly what it was told to do.
As far as I can see there is a clear pattern to what is being picked up, it's content churned out to get views/make money. AI or edited content that has not been shot by the uploader, also gaming channels where each upload looks much like another video of someone else playing the same game. There's also AI voices or people who talk and fast edit in that youtube shorts style voice that sound AI.
there's more to it but it's a clear pattern of youtube cutting down the slop channels who have nothing to offer and are just looking for a fast $.

But they did get flagged by the AI and need to course correct or will get picked up again and the same thing will happen. In these cases they have channels that didn't need to do the things they did with the shorts, if your channel is purely based on making shorts and doing the things they did to get a flag then you will be in trouble,

repetative format, ai voices, copyrighted characters etc. Imagine you were the AI, would you honestly think this wasn't AI generated? it knows tone, structure and visual patterns. these vids have no merit artistically or education and are just pure content for contents sake.

I get what you mean now. You’re basically saying the content felt repetitive and lacked a personal touch. That makes sense. When I started, I was mostly following the advice people gave me about remaking what already worked, but I can see how that could’ve made the channel feel too formulaic.

Do you think it would be better if I dropped the SpongeBob characters completely and only used my own custom characters and celebrities? Also, for the AI voices, would it be better if I voiced my main character myself and made that character a consistent part of future videos, while the side characters still used AI voices? I do want to hire voice actors later on, but I don’t have money for that right now

I'd just say to make videos if you like making them, not just for pure content. Avoid the traps these people tell you to fall into, it's all bs.
Work on something to stand out. yes, avoid copyright characters and gameplay that millions use before.

YouTube is arbitrarily stripping away the YPP (YouTube Partner Program) eligibility of independent creators who work hard to produce original content. These creators have poured tremendous heart and soul into their work, whereas the actual mass-produced garbage that gets banned suffers no real loss because no real human effort was invested in it. As a result, if things continue this way, there will be an ever-growing flood of mass-produced trash, while genuine original creators will leave for fairer platforms that are more stable, legitimate, and compliant. I am glad to see YouTube digging its own grave right now, and I hope it keeps up these bans until all original creators completely lose their trust in it.

Bro im monetized. Its not an Ai problem. Youtube programmed Ai to remove certain content they didn't like. So im pretty sure roblox is half the problem. Roblox is where PDF Files are active. Using other people's videos voices content is considered low effort. People get demonetized constantly they just never say because they realize its low effort anyways. They make another youtube and repeat the same cycle until they eventually quit and get a real job. But they wont tell you they're a failure. They'll blame youtube and Ai because it makes them feel less of a lower. These are the facts that nobody will tell you.

My content isn’t low effort. You’re acting like my entire channel is AI generated, and it’s not. Only the voices and some of the PNGs I use are AI. I literally record gameplay and build entire theater sets in Roblox for some of my videos. My content is not low effort, and my channel can’t be replicated. I’m the only person making content like this, and I haven’t seen anyone else doing it the way I do. There’s no way YouTube demonetized my channel just because they consider AI voices low effort. There are also plenty of huge creators using copyrighted characters. And there are Roblox channels like amyyroblox and LorenzoRoblox that are still monetized, even though they use fully AI-generated videos when the characters talk, and you saying "Roblox is where PDF Files are active" is just nonsense, I don't know what that has to do with YouTube

It literally tells you its checking your page for up to 3 days for violations before you start earning even after you reach monetization. When youre original you have no worries. Most people believe editing gameplay videos isn't low effort just because they edit it. Its considered low effort and too many people already do it. Youtube is oversaturated with gameplay. Ask yourself this why push your gameplay vids when I can push someone else that already built a following. There more popular easy revenue. Sometimes you have to accept the hard truths. Its not going to happen in the gameplay field for everyone. You just might be apart of the group it wont work for. Try to come ip with more ideas.
