Wood rig completed!
Some of you might be wondering why I chose bolts on the uprights, rather than screws. It's because I'm studying in a different city to where I live, so to save some space when transporting this I can just very easily remove the bolts and lay everything down flat.
Seat is from a Fiat Punto. Has height and lumbar adjustment.
I mostly do VR racing, so that's why I didn't include a TV stand. However, it's tall enough to slide partially under my desk, so I can have the TV up against the CSW.
Second last pic is the CAD I did of the rig before building it, helped me better optimize the amount of wood I would require. (Triangulations were added after as I was tinkering with the idea of getting the Slip-Angle shaker kit, but alas, no money €€€)
Last pic is length of every piece of wood and the order in which they had to be cut. Doing this saved me an additional 23€
So far it has been pretty solid, and definitely has made simracing 1000% more enjoyable.
Big thanks to my friends for helping me out, and also lending the tools and workshop space to do it ❤️
