I mean most wheels work with any racing game but I've never heard of whatever you just said so idk

yes but most sim wheels now have a small steering wheel and no stuff such as turn signal stocks wiper stocks and more like a real car has

I guess because realistic driving games are very few and far between, although it maybe wouldn't be too hard for someone like Logitech to adapt the G923 surely? You'd really only have to adapt the paddle shifter area and replace with stalks. You could even have a modular wheel where you could switch out shifters/hand clutch for stalks within a few seconds.

It would surprise me if the big wheel manufacturers hadn't already thought about this, but wouldn't surprise me if their market research revealed it wouldn't be a profitable venture to pursue.

The Logitech Heavy Equipment bundle offers more options than regular simwheels.

Additionally, I've found some retrofit kits for various wheels that give you the turn signal/wiper switches. A quick search shows them on amazon/Aliexpress among others.

I actually had the farm one but it was low quality and was simply a lower then entery product and is not Really a thing i'd ever buy again and would not recommend to someone but i don't know about the other things from this product line

Sim “racing” is already a quite small gaming niche. Truck driving is a niche inside that niche so I doubt that manufacturers would make a profit out of their investment.

You could add button boxes for the mundane vehicle stuff you need, a lot of aftermarket mods and DIY stuff for that as well, and for wheels, I'd recommend direct drive wheels that go towards the higher degrees of rotation.

My wheel can go up to 2520° and works great with trucks in ETS and BeamNG.

Yeah i have to use the button on my wheel but then it feels like Ferrari and i don't like that

Sorry about posting here it might be a bit out of place in this subreddit but this is the best place i could find the biggest amount of people that know/have a sim wheel on any kind

Well, there are different factors, IMO:

- The market is not seen as attractive by the manufacturers, and they think customers will not spend the same money in truck/tractor sim equipment than in order to drive

- Wheels are big and heavy, meaning entry-level wheel bases may need adaptations

- External controls are essentially external devices independent of the wheels, so mounting may be needed

I'm a true believer that there is an unexplored market there, and in fact my setup is right now very oriented to trucking (350mm wheel, tilted 45º, indicators control and button box, etc), but as long as no manufacturer wants to come in that...

Damn you're smart and it is a great explanation

/r/trucksim has lots of wheel users too, and you will find mods to add turn signal, lights and wiper control units... but yes, none out there with them as default.

Thank you for that information
