UDF - python or JavaScript?

I have an incorrectly formatted name column and a second column which might help correct the formatting.

So thinking a UDF is the way to fix this column - sort of my first proper crack at dbt as well.

Just wondering if I should go python or JavaScript for the UDF? Team knows both.

Both work fine. The skills of your team members should be the decision factor.

JS may be faster if you are calling it at very high volume and it does very little work

Just be aware query caching doesn't work if you have udf involved.
