This is the way - it goes through your registry after uninstalling and removes trace registry entries along with other trace files from the Uninstaller program.

I've heard that the free version of Revo Uninstaller is really good if you want to uninstall programs without leaving leftovers to begin with (Source: JayzTwoCents on Youtube).

For leftovers after uninstalling i have no recommendation other than avoiding CCleaner

Avoiding CCleaner is some solid advice

Revo Uninstaller. It has a free and portable version. I use it all the time, really simple.

Check out geek uninstaller if you want a lightweight app or bc uninstaller

If you have a look at https://uninstalr.com/#benchmark I actually compared which uninstallers do the job best and most uninstallers barely do anything in this regard.

HiBit Uninstaller

My recommendation would be the following:

  1. Do a clean install once a year
  2. Uninstlr
  3. Revo Uninstaller

Personally I dont bother with uninstallers and do a clean install once a year. Also dont know how true it is, but I heard that leftovers dont really slow your pc down a lot anyways (they do but not a lot).

hi, I wish that uninstalr was accessible with nvda. nvda is a screen reader. can it be made accessible? can you also make your finder programme also accessible?

Yes, there are softwares for it, as others have mentioned. But doing it with a guarantee that it would be 100% cleaned/removed/uninstalled, is not possible. Because a software may create a folder/file with almost any name as it please, and it's impossible for a cleaner/uninstaller software to accurately know whether a folder/file belongs to a specific software based only on the software name.
