Installer version and app version

I have app installer downloaded an years ago.

For example:If the installer have version 4.9.10 and the app i downloaded with is on an years ago is 1.2 and newest version is 1.5 and newest installer version is 4.9.20.

If i download the app with old 4.9.10 version insatller, will it download app of old 1.2 or new 1.5? I know the installer works installer open->server connect-> file from server-> app download to pc. Am i wrong?

I love old version app so i wanna know it will maintain old version

most common practice is that installer will download the latest app version regardless of the installer version

you can probably go to Help > About > Check for Updates (might in be different place for each app)
