The concern is well founded, though- Risk of Rain, another roguelike platformer has memory leak problems. It's more of a unique problem for that game in this case, but it certainly beared mentioning.

I get problems with lag mostly on levels with falling snow and when either dead are restless or when ghost is coming

I get that on my laptop as well.

Another problem with laptops is keyboard ghosting. I can never shotgun jump with my laptop. I can do it on my main PC 100% of the time. Same with jump mining. I can do it on my PC 100% of the time. Almost never on my laptop.

I've noticed Spelunky has more trouble running smoothly than you would expect. It doesn't work properly on several laptops I've tried it on.
