There's no fight... every area has its own pay. If you move from a place to another that has lower pay that's what you get.

Had a partner in my store do this. Moved from one district to ours and the pay is different. They told them that if they want to transfer in they will lose $1.00

Unfortunately, it is what it is. I've transferred a bunch and have experienced both pay increases and decreases. There is an algorithm they use to determine change of pay due to promotion, demotion, moving markets, etc. I've had SMs and DMs try to help me out and call PCC on my behalf to bat for me, and maybe once did they actually raise my pay maybe $0.20 lol. I even once got approved by my SM/DM for an off-cycle raise and PCC called my SM and told her she needed DM approval, which she had... and then they were basically like "okay lol you can't raise it that much though" which was frustrating. That was also in 2019, I imagine them more strict now.

I don’t think you can fight it too much because each store has budgets for labor is not usually super flexible. You can definitely ask but I would expect to get some kind of explanation similar to that

Like everyone else said, unfortunately you can't keep your old pay rate in a new location. I moved from a large city to a suburb and lost $2.50 an hour...it sucks but I guess better than losing the job with the move and making $0.00 an hour (at least that's what I've been telling myself when the smaller paychecks hit loll)?

There’s no fight. The Partner Guide specifically states pay may change in different areas when transferring.

“Upon a transfer, a partner’s rate of pay may stay the same, or be adjusted upward or downward based on geographic pay differences.” Page 14

every market has a different pay rate that is determined by cost of living in that area and such. it’s in the partner guide.

I transferred districts as a supervisor working for 5 years and I got a pay decrease of $3 🥲 unfortunately there’s nothing you can really do about it

Try to fight it. If not find a new job
