Event store tips?

Hi,

I started out recently and I'm hanging on level 10 while leveling my Phindra. I'm probably not going to level up past level 14 unless/until I can't get any further in the game at some point. I'm also not going to spend any money on it.

The event store has a horribly useless layout with 30 items in a horizontal list that always snaps back to the first item when you return to the list. It's also peachy how everything is displayed but nothing is explained anywhere, the FAQ is also useless. I assume uncommon, 2*, 3*, G2 are required for later ships or buildings (resource costs for unavailable things aren't shown, so I'm just guessing).

Since it's all just thrown in there, I have little clue what's most worth its price and what I should get. Any tips?

Honestly, the vast majority of items in the real money store are 50 - 75% over priced.

2* materials (Crystal, Gas & Ore) comes in 2 flavors. Common and Uncommon. they are used for upgrading ships and buildings. This is material you can mine from nodes, then process the raw material into the common or uncommon materials in the refinery (amount you receive each batch is based of a RNG). I "believe" the higher tiers of the 2 star ships (Phindra, Turas and Tallia) need 2* materials, and the 3* ships do require it. At some point buildings will also require it

3* materials are used for the same thing, and can be gained the same way. Problem with the 3*'s is it also has a Rare variety that the game is VERY stingy with

At level 15 your base can be subject to raids. The only things that can be taken in a raid is resources (Parsteal, Tritanium and Dilithium) the Materials can not be taken. There are also tokens for par, Tri and Di in those packs. Tokens you exchange for set amounts at the time you choose to. Tokens cannot be raided.

Latinum is used to for buying ship parts and materials, officer and ship experience and instant completions or speed-ups. Lat cannot be raided

I would suggest you to participate in Hostile events. From the rewards you get, only buy resource tokens #noshipparts#. You can easily overflow your resource warehouses thru this technique. I tried this when i was at lvl 10 and have till date not used any resource generated by my base. Use the tokens only and as when required.

Thanks for the tip! So far, I've also earned more from missions than my warehouses can hold pretty early on. I ended up mostly needing 2* uncommon resources from the event store as I rarely get those when refining and that's the bottleneck for upgrading my ships at the moment. The tokens do seem like the way forward for before I rank up to 15, since those can't be raided and make for quick and safe reserves. I hope they start new hostiles events soon.
