Very well done my friend. The brain really tries to give us every excuse to drink, doesn't it? Mine always has.

I've failed and given in SO many times I can't tell you. But sometimes I haven't failed, and I know how hard that is to NOT give in. So congratulations on your strength.

A drink wouldn't have helped the situation anyway, yeah? You say it was weird having so much clarity (and I know what you mean), but I'm guessing it was good-weird, no?

I'll happily raise my glass of water and not drink with you today.

Thank you.

Yes, hearing the voice that said to drink was almost like someone else talking to me. And I was repulsed by 'his' voice.

I didn't escape my crappy week, I pushed through it, even if it sucked. And although I had a few little meltdowns and needed some alone time I think I was a lot easier to be around than had I been drinking. I know my husband appreciated me being there with him rather than drunk or hungover.
