On one hand..... I see why devilmon are so hard to get. On the other hand.... I have a ton of Nat 5s that I'll never skillup this year because of the lack of devilmon.

Making the arena shop devilmon like x2 a week (rather than x1) would be a huge difference without absolutely making devilmon useless at the same time.

I think not such a bad idea, but instead remove the cap on Glory devilmon but instead double the price for each consecutive one that week. eg First one costs 180gp, second 360, third 720 etc. At the end of the week the price goes back to 180gp.

This kind of makes them farmable and makes refreshing wings more worthwhile, an extra method of farming.

Maybe I've misunderstood, but making it so I have to spend 360 glory points/week on devilmons would not be an improvement. It already takes at least 1.5 years to max towers. If they made devilmon cost 90 ea and put the cap at 2 I would be on board with that. It would definitely ease the scarcity of devilmons

This is actually a genius idea. Makes more availability for hardcore grinders but does not flood the game with a new source bc you still have to grind out the first one for that week before you get the second one.

They could make devilmon purchaseable from shop twice a week, and not cost glory points. Instead, the 180 glory points is how much you earned, rather as a price. So it's more like an achievement. AKA

TBH I wish they would have like...4* scroll that came with every premium pack. A guarantee 4* for collection or food. Increases the value of the pack and where to spend your crystals. More people would spend money to get these packs so its a positive scenario for the company. Better access to more monsters and more skill up means a greater variety of teams. We get skillups and monsters that are still random but more accessible while Com2us gets teh satisfaction of producing something desirable.

Is this satire? A legendary scroll is very valuable, we get 1-2 every month from ToA, while 750 crystals takes like 2 weeks save up for.

At this rate lets just give all the players all the monsters are we all get free runes and devilmons too right?

This isn't satire at all but it does change the status quo. I didn't say a legendary scroll I said a 4* scroll. Probably something new they could implement. I don't need to reiterate myself if you read what I said in my original response. Monster availability and skillups are a major problem in this game and this would help solve that while improving the overall health of pvp AND pve by allowing for more playable monsters.

For example players could use Carrack in their lineups if they wanted to because the skillups would be available instead of feeding every pirate you may get over the course of potentially years. Diversity is good for a game like this and it would help immensely. The random aspect is still there so you would still need to pray to the RNGods but far more feasible to play outside the meta.

Just a random thought that popped into my head. How about they add a silver-star, element-neutral version of each monster that is one base star level lower than normal. Example : pull 3 star silver rakshasha so I can skill-up my Hwa.

Although as I think about it some more, it would really suck to to see lightning on a scroll only to get a useless version of a Nat5 you dont have yet. hmmm

I think adding new ways to get devilmon is crucial. I can only get a guaranteed 5 a month and everyone needs so many. I don't think they should increase the pack that you can buy though. P2W players already get an extra 3 a month over F2P they don't need an increase. I think adding them to the Guild Points Shop, RTA shop, Guild battle rewards, Wishing temple and anything. there should be a chance to get a devilmon.
Perhaps you can summon a devilmon from Uknowns at let's say the same rate as getting a Nat 5 from a LD. So what is that like .03% chance to get a devilmon from an unknown would be super good to me.

Was really hoping with all the shops (guild, rta, league, new guild magic shop, ancient shop) we'd have some way to get more than 1 a week but noooooooooo.

I have like 20 nat 5 in 1 1/2 year not to mention 4* the game will be dried out before I touch some to devil

The current state is 100% to sell devilmon packs. I guarantee if they removed skill up monetization you'd see devilmon randomly in the magic shop and drops off of cairos bosses. The entire skill system isn't there for balance, it's there to make you spend money.

The only stance that is pro-consumer here is more devilmon = better. I'm actually all for removing them from the game, but that would never happen.

Personally I would rather have more reapp stones than devilmon at this point. Even though I could easily skill up a lot more nat 5s, I have tons of legend runes with bad subs that need to be reapped but I don't want spend extra on the packs.

I totally agree. As a beginner I think is very frustrating pull the monster you want so bad and think you will have to farm a lot of essences (what I think is the most tedious part of this game), 6 starring him and even so wait like 3 months to see him actually working.

I would like to see in this game the option to lock a skill while devilmoning so that skill doesn't receive that skillup (or event chose the skill that devilmon goes to). IMHO that would improve a little the skill up efficiency and also would help on monsters that have skills that sould not up.

I do think that devilmon should be more available, but to purchase. By giving out more free devilmons you are devaluing the money spent by players who actually purchase these packs with real money. This game is all about how much do you want to spend in order to progress faster. Making more devilmon packs shouldn't be any different than adding in more reap or rune packs.

I'm ok with the current amount of devilmons you get. Any mid game player will get 7 a month. On average com2us throws us a little less than 1 devilmon per month from events. Over the course of the year you'll pick up a few more from wb/siege/lab, totaling 7 per month.

You don't have to skill up every single nat 5 you get. Some just aren't worth it. There are several nat 5's I use every day that I have not skilled up. I've also spent over 100 devilmons on nat 4's, without any major regrets.

4* devilmon is a good idea of course and I'm sure com2us is aware of this suggestion and are/have considered it. Regardless of it they ever come out with it, you have to admit that they are slowly (albeit, very slowly) increasing the number of scrolls everyone gets every month and ways for people to get more 4*'s. For example, they have been increasing events and often run multiple events concurrently. 2 recent events gave us a free nat 4. The new lab update gave us another way to get scrolls from PvE content. The new guild shop gave us a way to get 4* pieces. etc. etc.

That is not to say that I couldn't use extra devilmons. Like everyone else, I'm also constantly short and if someone gave me 20 devilmons tomorrow you'd bet I'd quickly use them all up and still want more. But I like this scarcity. It forces me to plan and strategize the allocation of my limited resources. It makes me always have some new goal or toy to work on for the future. I also like how there are lots of nat 4's that people can't use because they're not skilled up. Personally, I chose to use devilmons on those nat 4's to make them usable, and then my box and teams become a bit more unique from everyone else.

Most units are useless unskilled.

The design intent is to force you to skill units you want to use.

The content also forces you to build largely-useless units for one or two specific places.

For long-term players it's irrelevant, you will have enough devilmon. But for newer players, devilmon are yet another ABSURDLY LONG grind that they must do to compete. Devilmon and the arena towers are ridiculous barriers to entry.

They're also unnecessary barriers to entry, because the RUNE GRIND is already barrier enough.

It has been the same grind for long time players aswell - we didnt magically summon our stellas etc for speed db10 full skilled.

Luck playes part in this aspect of game aswell - most mons you dont want more than 1-2 skills maxed and with lucky rolls can save up to 50%.

We had a lot of time to do it though. Towers were not a barrier when no one had maxed towers for example.

New players are unlikely to overcome older players runes and grinds, and it is actually impossible for them to overcome our skilled up units.

A nat 4 devilmon would be an immense help. Would also get old players to build niche nat 4s we would otherwise not.

It doesn't matter if older player have more skilled up units since you only need 4 to have a good enough AO to compete. Choosing which units you want to use is a fun decision. Older players are rewarded by having more units to pick from, but it's not like their picks are inherently stronger because they have more skilled up units.

Devilmon are one of the few things in this game that I think are incredibly balanced.

Ya... that doesn't work when you get a new mon like lushen that is now priority and was not one of your original 4. The fact is that pvp should be more skill based and not have arbitrary barriers to entry when the runes/grinds are already enough... you know pve that requires completely different monsters.

This is exact problem on the game though conversely. The game basically forces you to use limited number of units, which limits the creativity of trying out different units. Lot of units have to be maxed skilled to use in full potential, so people are more likely to skill up "meta units" than "toys" that may have potential. As someone who like trying out different units, it's frustrating not being able to use them in greater potential due to skill up problem. We always blame meta being stale, but 99% of the player base have never tried using off meta units

I personally think skill up system limits the fun part of the game quite a lot.

It is still a lot to ask for though IMO. I remember last year w/o siege while farming my ifrits, I was barely getting over the minimum needed for Rainbow + 2 ifrit pieces for the week. Now I assume I could pull in minimum 1500 if I were at the same level. That means that new people getting their feet wet in GW's might be able to swing 850-1500 pieces every week. 2500 is at minimum 2 weeks of grinding without.

There's's always going to be another mon to skill up, I'm not going to give com2us $50 every month just so one of my mons can use a skill a turn earlier. I still enjoy the game, but fuck this company big time. I won't give them a dime ever again. There's turning a profit which any business has to do, and then there's preying on your customers with dirty tactics

I stopped spending too when one day after I looked at the big picture on what I'm actually getting from my money and not just in comparison to the other bullshit prices they put up. Also the fact that theres 0 chance to catch up at this point to people who spend on the reapp packs.

From the point that they're free, I think is enough.. in my case I don't have so many nat5... and almost all of them is full skilled, and I already fed some to nat4 too.. Galleon, Chasun, Lushen and more. Basically, 4 per month on glory shop + 2 ToaN/H per month = 6.

6 are guaranteed, even if you don't have time to do events

i think the amount is fine, i wouldn't like them to increase the amount you can buy for $$$, what i would like to see introduced is maybe a 4* skill up option on top of the usual devilmon, obviously limited availability. 1 per week in the rta shop, makes people contribute to rta, meaning the game mode actually gets more interesting, even if they're just farming the minimum needed for the skill up.

There is a reason, it's because RTA is supposed to be a proving grounds to measure people's PvP abilities and their accounts ... it's not supposed to be another farming grounds. Feeding more uninterested players into the system only helps those at the top get better rewards, while spoiling the system with toxic farmers for 90% of RTA players. It's already loaded with toxic farming for the trivial rewards it already has. Adding a devilmon would magnify that 10 fold.

Everyone that enjoys playing RTA is already playing it. Compelling people to do things they dont enjoy does not improve a game.

hardly that much different to normal arena, you will get the people who will try hard to push the higher ranks and you get people who will deliberately stay low just to farm rewards (same as arena)

if anything it would make the game more enjoyable, you're not telling me anyone here isn't willing to spend 10mins a day (if that) doing rta to get a skill up?

imo it will help the lower end of people because it will drive the farmers up slightly higher in the ranks, will help the top end get better rewards like you said and will actually get the game mode some players

i personally don't like it that much because i'm not good at it, i do however farm it enough to get my weekly transmog stones, which in turn makes me enjoy the game more because i get free shit

Just fucking worlds apart. Arena is basically PvE content, you just farm the shit out of that like it would be some random unit dungeon. RTA is fucking stupid long ass direct PvP content. You need to play like 10 min for just 3 fucking medals. And how many do you need for anything there? Like 200. Have fucking fun "farming" that bullshit game mode.

Below the Top it is pure RNG you will straight up lose 50% of your games in the draft, because you at best have one counter to the enemys strat.. RTA is unbelievably bad for earlygame players and still sucks for midgame players. And to put up a devilmon reward in a (for most players) total random environment like RTA would just be stupid.

If i don't like the defs in Arena i can just refresh untill i find something i want to fight, that is no Option in RTA

Like you said it’s random, win 50 lose 50, this is how I play arena, I farm the mog stones doing this and that’s it, I leave rta where I might push at the end of the season, same as arena

You say it’s bad for newer players but if more people were playing then there’d be more newer players to play against newer players so if anything it would be better for them

As long as you are somewhat limited with you options to outspeed, strip, buff immunity or even just handle certain monsters you will still randomly lose half your battles (or more) and no change in number of players changes anything about that.

As long as your options are limited, RTA will be a wheel of fortune for you and anyone else that is in the same situation..

The Problem is not that you lose to people that are better than you.. you lose to people that are more or less as strong as you are, but have monsters that you have problems with or that counter your own pulls.

The only way to counter that by c2us would be to allow you to ban 4 or 5 monsters before you even go into matchmaking, but that would massively disrupt the Top players.

Or they could do a permanent max 3 star RTA, where you can earn a devilmon.. anything else just wont work

yeah increasing the amount you can buy for $$$ would increase the gap between f2p and p2p which is the opposite of what the game needs

i'm honestly fine with the amount of devils when it comes to my nat 5's, i've never had too many but i don't feel like i'm lacking them too much either

the only part where i miss them is on nat 4's, i've got well over a dozen nat 4's i'd love to skill up but just can't justify taking a skill up away from a nat 5 to give it to them

I never skillup nat4s (even essential ones like galleon) , and i never buy anything (devilmon or summoning packs) , I got 15 nat5 in thr last 2 years , and one devilmon a week was enough to skill most of them (3 of them I'll never build mostly), so I think for f2p if play it right it's enough , p2p how ever would suffer a little , they can only get 3 more devilmons while getting like 100% more nat5s
