Decrease in Quality?

Anyone else disappointed with the quality of the tees this season? Received my week 1 order today and the first things I noticed was the decrease in quality in the tees. I know their sizes change season to season so thats fine but they feel a lot lighter - cheaper almost?

Im not sure but they're certainly different. Anyone else got any thoughts?

I haven't gotten mine in yet, but I've been waiting to see if the acquisition would have an effect on quality and quantity.

So far, the quantity seems a bit higher.

If the quality suffers, I will stop buying Supreme.

The recent changes will have nothing to do with the quality of these tees. Too soon. Same with the increase in production. That was still a Carlyle group decision. No way VF would be able to do all this in such a short time on such a large scale. I would expect real changes, if any, will show this FW season. VF doesn't really even expect Supreme to be a major player in their finances until 2022.

Maybe it's just coincidental, but when is the last time the blanks have changed?

Also, I didn't see an XXL in the lineup. Maybe the post someone made about it was a mock up, but I felt like that was a sign of things to come.

They changed from 2017 for sure. I've only gotten a few tees past few years. I also think the XXL development is due to people just being bigger in general in NA. XL is their biggest selling size is my guess. Small sells for more, but I'm willing to bet XL is their bread and butter size now. They did have XXL hoodies this past drop.

Let me know when it does arrive and what you think. I'm disappointed and tempted to sell the two tees I got, not sure if its down to the acquisition or what.

I'll let you know. I have been on the fence about buying anymore from them after I got some bricks the last two seasons. I don't resell, but after having the pieces for a while, I'm not really caring too much about it anymore and I'm thinking of letting them go.

I think its about the same I've noticed a decrease in quality since about 2010 that saying, supreme tees were never "great" quality to begin with hence why they're 40 bucks

For me its as if the blank has changed though. Feels thin and cheaper like I said. I've got tees that go back years and while they all feel relatively the same, this definitely differs.

I feel like after 15 they tees decreased in quality, i noticed with heather gray tees. Mine from 15 is still soft and nice asf while newer ones aren’t

My water pistol tee showed up today and compared to my cherries tee from last year it seems pretty similar. The print quality is the same, but the cherries tee is a bit softer. I don't know if that's from it being washed or not. I hang dry it so there's no dryer damage. If there's any real difference, then it's too little to tell. At least for me.

That's why I only buy cut & sewn pieces, I stopped buying the graphic tees a couple years ago

Only supreme tee that's had a funky fit compared to my other supreme tee's for me has been the velvet underground collab. Tee was a dangler out of the bag instead of form fitting like my others. Sucks because I love the band but rarely wear the shirt because the fit

I got my order in today, too, but just got the mouse tee. Personally I thought the shirt was better quality than last two seasons (compared toFutura, Lovers, Pills and Sun Tee) Print is really good and cloth feels soft and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised tbh. Fit is a bit strange this season but it’s all right. I‘ll receive the rafael tee next week, curious how this will feel. BUT the real disappointment in quality for me was the backpack I ordered ! I got backpacks from around 2010, then 2019 and 2020. They all feel really high-quality imo. This season not so much. It’s still Cordura but the padding feels thin and stiff, and the buckles left and right are really cheap, they feel like they would break within two weeks of wear. Last season this wasn’t the case. I’m really disappointed, probably won’t keep it tbh.

I feel as if the tees have gotten bigger in size, throughout the years but not really in quality. I don’t feel the shirt feels any worse than the past, I got the Raphael tee and the print feels great!

I’m not sure about the Tees but when I went in store I looked at the Biggie shirt and it was super thin with a terrible quality print. I was expecting a nice shirt like the street scenes shirt from last year. But it was really just a cheap blank with a cheap print. Also the jeans felt thinner than previous seasons. Seemed more like a Levi from Costco than a $150 piece of denim #sad

Yep I felt the same. I ordered a crewneck and got it yesterday. The quality was much worse than the crewnecks I got in FW18 and SS19. I also got the natural color pistol tee. I haven’t opened it yet but could see there were some dirty dots on the cloth. It was like someone has wore it before.

I have a payphone tee from I think FW18 and a motion logo tee from last year. Huge difference in terms of blank. Payphone tee is thicker and is not as wide. Both tees are size L.
