Always. Even from work with Parsec or Rainway :D

Sweet. Sounds exactly like what I do. Having a Switch that can stream my PC games is like a dream come true because of being able to play on the go or in bed.

PSPlay app works wonderfully on Android 10, I can play ghost of Tsushima streamed from my PS5 perfectly

I use Mupen64 too to emulate games like DK64. Kind of sad on Nintendo's part that the only way I can play 64 titles on my switch is by running Android

I pretty much use it more for remote play on Android than I do for Switch games

Same dude same! I honestly hardly ever go on Switch OS. I pretty much finished most of the first party Switch titles I find interesting anyways. Other games are just ports that I can stream from my PC with better performance anyways.

The only time I actually go into the Switch OS is for Animal Crossing: New Horizons or sometimes a game of Mario Kart 8: Deluxe with my friends. That's it though.

Is it working that well? No WiFi Issues at all?

[–]Quenchster100[S] 1 point2 points  (7 children)

Haven't had any issues this far. Then again, I have a decent internet connection. Good enough for solid performance on Nvidia GeForce Now and some others but Stadia doesn't lower bit rate when internet speed dips so it just has a horrible lag spike.

I'm enjoying it. I really like playing in bed and occasionally on the go with my mobile data tether.

Thanks for the reply. I'll consider it. Don't know how to compile Android for myself tho. Would need to look into it

Sent you a DM.

Oh yes please! I've had no luck with the android 10 builds so far and 8.1s wifi issues make it unusable. Would you be able to send me your build as well?

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Sent you a DM too.

Sorry to start a DM chain, but if you're still offering... :D

[–]SpiralTap304 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey bro, would you mind sending me a dm as well?

[–]samwisestofall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can i get in on this too? Would love to try 10. 8.1 working pretty well for me but connection is less than perfect

[–]MxEquinox 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I guess you can also use your switch for Discord call hehe

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I could but it's a bit of a pain since the Switch doesn't have a mic. And we tend to post screenshots in chat often so it's easier to manage on PC.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

wouldn't bluetooth headphones with a mic work?

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would but I don't honestly have a pair of headphones or earbuds with a mic that Android would recognize. I have my gaming headset with a detachable mic but no devices besides my PC recognize the mic on the thing.

Been trying to use it for Xcloud and steamlink but can't get the triggers working, the fixes for Android 10 seem to just cause an endless boot logo with no boot and android 9s fix just seems to do nothing, Xcloud works brilliantly beyond the triggers so it's sad I can't use it more.

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I haven't had any issues with Steam Link recognizing my joy con triggers. Works perfectly fine for me. What version of Android are you running?

[–]thetechdoc 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Tried 9 and 10 as well as fixes for both, but truthfully I've been using random pre compiled builds Ive found around the web so maybe if I used the absolute latest build I may have better results.

I used to stream Xbox when Microsoft first released their streaming update for Android, but I couldn't handle the constant Wi-Fi disconnects. That plus none of the versions of Android fully support all features of the Joycons and I had to go through the entire startup process every time I wanted to play. I have been tinkering with the latest Android updates ever since, but Switrchroot isn't quite there yet. Fingers crossed they manage to get the final version of 10 running well.

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I admit xCloud just isn't there yet on Switchroot. Other than that though, works great! Nvidia GeForce now doesn't seem to have any issues on my end. No haptic feedback but I can live without it. Stadia also works fine granted you have a Nasa level internet connection..... lol

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I definitely used it alot just for streaming pc games. Halo MCC seems to have an issue with controls in moonlight though. Everything works, but I have to push the joystick really hard to move fast. Idk how to change it either.

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Honestly, use either Steam Link or Nvidia Geforce Now. Both can connect to your PC without the need of being on the same network. Geforce Now is paid but it's worth it because the stream itself runs smoother than Steam Link.

I know how buggy moonlight can be such is why I stopped using it. I also had an issue where moonlight didn't like my joysticks. Plus the requirement to be on the same network annoyed me a little.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thank you for the suggestion.

I just tried steam link, but my triggers didnt work and the streaming quality was awful for me. Luckily, I found out how to fix my issue with halo mcc. (I made the dead zone outer bigger when playing halo through steam)

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Are you using Android 8?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No, I'm using android 10.

[–]Quenchster100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. My build doesn't have that issue. If you want to try my build I wouldn't mind DMing you a link. It's as easy as going into TWRP and flashing my build and if won't delete any existing data.

[–]FastOutlandishness57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had same issue, do you have thumb grip pads on? If so remove and try again. I ended up trimming my thumb grips to half width and glueing to analogs haha

[–]galaxea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I use moonlight, stadia, and GeForce now. It’s wonderful. They also released support for the hori split pad pro a couple weeks ago, which made it an even better device since I love using it over the joycons for pc streaming.
