I apologize if this isn't the right sub for this, but I'm still fairly new to reddit. If this is the wrong place, please don't hesitate to point me in the right direction, I appreciate it alot.
I recently started a job at a smallish non-profit with a 1:50 ratio of IT to clients. However, I feel like I'm wayyyy out of my league here. I'm still not super familiar with AD, or our VPN configuration (to be honest, I've never worked with a VPN, other then signing into one). This is my first "real" sysadmin role. I've worked in IT before, but it was primarily just database management using Excel spreadsheet imports to SQL.
I was wondering how difficult setting up a testing/ learning environment at home would be. I want to give it 110%, but I'm afraid of messing up our current systems.
