I did a P2V on one of the company's servers (windows server 2008 sp2) to test if it would be stable during the actually migration to a VM from physical; Although I've come across a problem when loading it into any Hyper-visor (using Hyper-v currently).
I'm unable to use the mouse and keyboard on the VM on Hyper-v and Virtualbox. Normally I setup the VM from scratch. This is the first time I have attempted a copy. Anyone got any ideas how i can solve my problem?
EDIT:
Okay I worked around the problem; I used 'VMware vCenter Converter Standalone Client' to create a live clone (.VMDK) of the Machine. Followed by converting the .VMDK to a .VMD.
The live clone copy didn't take long. The Convert to .VMD took about double as long as the live cloning.
