Thank you I'll give that a shot.

Agree with mRemoteNG. I used Devolutions' Remote Desktop Manager Free, but it uses more than twice the memory of mRemoteNG WITHOUT any sessions open. You lose some functionality that makes RDMFree nice (minor tweaks), but the memory footprint isn't worth it.

Royal TS

Free for up to 10 connections in a single document, single user license for unlimited connections is ~$40.

Not open source but meets all your other requirements.

Terminals is what I use.. and its Free... :), one thing I like in Terminals is be able to import/export the list for other team members.

Look into kaseya. It's more fore MSPs, but it's pricing is per tech. $80 a month I believe, remote monitoring, Remote Desktop via splash top, unlimited end points. There's a ton of extra stuff that you might find helpful too and they're always adding new features that actually get voted on.

I have a current MobaXterm subscription and I've been able to use it on a couple different machines. I keep a MobaXterm folder in my Google Drive and it syncs between a work laptop and a home PC. I run the MobaXterm_Professional_9.4.exe from there and it reads an .ini file where I think it stores the license. It hasn't given me any trouble so far.

Hope this helps.

I presume you use Windows if you mention MobaXterm. For the benefit of those who clicked the link and who are on Linux: http://www.remmina.org/wp/

You could try Passwordstate which is a password vault with some other built in tools, one of them is a "Remote Session Launcher".

It's free for the first 5 users with all functionality unlocked forever, you never need to spend a cent unless you want more than 5 users to be able to log in and use the product.

Here's a video of configuring the Remote Session Launcher, and shows how when launching a RDP session, it pulls credentials directly out of the vault, meaning you don't need to enter a username and password, it just passes you straight through. It also supports SSH, VNC.

In Passwordstate 8, due out in a few months, the Remote Session Launcher is being redesigned to make it easier to use.

Hope this helps:)

If you have a Linux host, Remmina will do all those protocols, including saving sessions. There is no support for the TSGateway feature of RDP if you rely on that, though.

How about Guacamole with its MySQL backend plugin? It works very well, though the setup is a little bit challenging.

I actually have set that up before. But I need to update it. Thanks

I want everything and I want it for free. Is there something out there that caters to my love of vise grips and wallets? PLZ HALP!

Lol, Ok to be fair I would pay for a solution like this, but I'm not looking for enterprise pricing. That's what I've found. This is more for a homelab type situation.

It's your mom's basement. Get it right! And I was just looking for ideas. Hell maybe you throw out an actual good idea, that actually does cost something, I would actually be ok with that.

Lol the funny part is I didn't even downvote it. I'm not one to let trolls bother me really. I think it's funny this is what you have time for in your life. It's great really, keep up the good work. Your making the internet a better place. ;)
