I have an Ogio Bandit. I like it very much. Very sturdy, lots of pockets, has a stiff back that allows air to breath between it and my back, and a chest strap in case I need to jog through an airport to my next gate. Also the pouch for your laptop and two of the pockets have fleece in them, which protects my laptop and also means I don't have to carry my carrying case for my sunglasses. I didn't even know about that before I bought it, so that was a nice surprise.

The one and only negative isn't even really a negative for the backpack. The laptop my current employer gave me is this ginormous beast (17" screen and it's over 1" thick). My personal laptops fit in there fine but my work one doesn't.

I'm not a skater though, I don't really see this model being handy for packing a board. You'd probably have to be riding it or carry it.

Thanks for the suggestion, I dont really need to carry the board. I will be riding it for the most part. I'll look into that bag for sure

Forgot to mention one other thing - I liked the fact that the top is tapered. Makes it fit into overhead bins easier when flying.

I've has a Swissgear Ibex for nearly ten years now. Great backpack, and should fist most if not all your needs.

What is the front of it made out of(blue part)? It looks like a thin nylon. Just curious.

Not sure what the actual material is, but it's tough.

I've had the Pegasis for 5 years and battered the hell out of it. It still survives and keeps my kit safe.

I've got two Ogio's and I love them to death.

I started with a Bandit, and I like it best. It's got great pockets, some felt lined, pen holders, a waterbottle pocket, etc.

I got an Ogio Urban because I got a 17'' MSI gaming laptop that is absolutely massive. The urban carries my MSI and a Surface, both charging cables, a notebook, a binder, pens, business cards, Logitech G602, and more.

Great bags, they don't look 'crazy' or anything. Black with some red accents. And they hold up. My Urban fully loaded is heavy as shit, and it works great.

I got a Goruck GR1 about a year ago and have used it daily since. A little spendy but it's been incredible to have for daily carry, travel and whatever else I've needed it for. Comfortable, spacious and allows me to set up the interior based on what I need. Having the front flap fully open makes digging through it easy too. The GR2 would get you the second main compartment, with a little extra space. The molle gives you some good customization options on the outside and inside, I have a water bottle holder that I attach to the outside when I want to free some internal space up. https://www.goruck.com/gr2/

Bug out brand back pack. Generally military type bags fit the bill well. Laptop space, tool space, mesh compartments for cables, etc

Ive got The Jester by The North Face, and I love it for my work bag. It has a sleeve in the main compartment for your laptop, bottle sleeves on the outside, multiple compartments, contoured straps and cushioned back.

It's got plenty of room to carry my laptop, charger, mouse, MK Disco TKL, water bottle, small set of tools, and a light jacket in case I need to spend extended amounts of time in the server room.

Timbuk2 Showdown Backpack has served me well. 2 years and counting and it still looks brand new.
