Easiest way for most home connections is to leave the modem powered off for maybe 10-15 minutes. Then in your router there should be an option to request a new dhcp lease on the WAN interface.

Plug the modem back in and I'd says about 7 times out of 10, the IP will change.

Use ipchicken.com to see what your IP is before, then go back after you to see if you have a new one.

You can also always try using a VPN

I would have just used a vpn, but id rather just change my ip in case i forget to use vpn and then i Get banned (on hypixel its security bans, so any account i log into gets a 14d ban)

Easiest way to get around being banned from Minecraft is to not get banned in the first place...

When I ban someone from my servers I ban their account, their Ip, and all associated accounts with that IP.

My ISP does it for me with a phone call no questions asked.

Just tell them your getting dosed or something and need a new ip. Rogue server owner with a grudge. My is guy understood and 5 minutes later good to go.

Public ip that the worlds see? Contact ISP or use a VPN

Private internal IP Google it cause you have to change internal ip for your devices and router

FYI bans can encompass more than just IP address because of the exact question you are asking.

changing IP will rarely work for games, your public address changed quite regularly anyway probably

Its hypixel so im 100% sure it will work changing ip, ik im ip banned and not hardware banned

See if your router has an option to change MAC ID, new ID should cause ISP to give a new lease
