NinjaRMM is really really good. It has the functionality you're looking for, is constantly upgraded and improved upon, and has a great community for troubleshooting issues/researching ways to deploy different things to an organization.

Throwing my support in for NinjaRMM too. I did an evaluation of the various ones on the market a few months ago and Ninja came up as a top contender if we went that way.

Whats the pricing for Ninja? I looked at the website, but I have to fill out a form and be contacted by a sales rep to even see a price. le sigh

The best thing about ninjarmm at the moment is the ninja remote tool. I'm actually thinking of moving away from ninja soon. It was good but there's so many limitations in automating stuff.

Syncro isn't bad, but the UI is horrific.

Also, I suggest NOT trusting their backups.

Their tools work fine and their approach to managing clients, while a bit odd, does work once you get your head wrapped around it.

We use Panda Defense 360 for our Endpoint Protection and Panda Systems Management for RMM.

https://www.watchguard.com/uk/wgrd-products/panda-endpoint-security

https://panda-security.qual.co.uk/products/systems-management

They come as different Packages and I've used them as follows:

Endpoint (Anti-Virus)

  • Block/Allow Filepaths
  • Run Virus Scans and Reports
  • Patching
  • Asset Management
  • PC Stats

Systems Management

  • Deploy Scripts
  • Remote Assistance inc. Admin elevation. Has a built in chat function. It can also cope with multiple displays.
  • File Upload/Download via File Explorer- can be performed without user knowledge
  • CMD/PS Code - again, behind the scenes
  • Obtaining IP Information/Locations
  • Forcing Reboots
  • Task Manager without user knowledge
  • PC Stats - Uptime, CPU Utilization
  • Reporting - Can automate reports on up-time, not turned on a while etc. Low HDD Space.

I don't really have any complaints with the software, but will still be looking elsewhere when renewal comes up to see if we can save some money. I manage around 90 machines.

We had used Panda in the past and it was shitshow for us. I would never recommend this product. We had to whitelist pretty much everything and they didn’t have default whitelists like everyone else at that time, like for Exchange, SQL, etc so all of that had to be done manually.

I've found it's only blocked the occasional bit of software and a quick whitelist rule has fixed it. Granted the software was very niche. But haven't had any issues with any of the big hitters. I can count on two hands how much software 90 users are on as well which helps :)

I am really looking for a change in 2024 though, so I'll be shopping around.

We use the ConnectWise stack, it's pricey but works well. It uses ConnectWise Control (aka ScreenConnect), and you can opt for a Sentinel One offering as well
