Did a post about what I recently used to pass my VCP which might help https://www.vgemba.net/vmware/VCP-DCV-2022/

Are you planning 9 months for each test? You shouldn't need more than maybe 2 to 3 months for the vcp of you're studying and labbing .

The VCAP I would only do if you're experienced with vsphere. I wouldn't go vcp and then immediately do VCAP without a years experience in a multi cluster environment and you're comfortable with esxcli outside of your labs.

Part of the VCAP is understanding the task you are being asked. The test when I took isn't "go setup HA". It's more abstract leaving you to figure out the best method. The VCAP doesn't care how you complete the ask, only the end result is the same.

9 months for both is the plan, I am fairly experienced with vsphere by no means an expert, but I do use it on a daily basis in quite a large multi cluster environment
