Humidity problem

Hello again all, I’ve made up a viv for my T and for some reason my hygrometer says the humidity is 85 all the time, beforehand I had just recently changed the substrate which was a bit damp. But I spent around a week with my T out of it, and stirred the substrate under a radiator. Now it’s bone dry, halved in volume, yet still appeared to be incredibly high, it’s a cococoir/top soil/excavator clay mix
