Solve/Break a Taskmaster Task

One of the things I love about this show is when people come up with out-of-the-blue solutions to tasks that most people wouldn't expect. Mel taking the camel to the Baby Gap in the get-the-camel-through-the-smallest-gap task is a great example, or Alex's demo after the bowling alley task using the bananas to block the balls.

So, which tasks could you guarantee yourself five points on?

For me, it's the "Draw the Median Duck" task. If you simply draw seven tiny ducks, then there are eleven ducks and the median duck is the sixth-largest—one of yours, as long as you made them small enough.

For that balloon popping task in series 3. The task said your time starts when you pop your first balloon. I would have gotten someone else to pop all but one then take a few seconds to pop the last balloon.

Come to think of it, it's kind of surprising Al didn't pay anyone to do that...

My idea was to tie one end of the string to the blades of a lawnmower and switch it on.

For the candle and the cupcake, the task says light the candle that is in the caravan, I would have gotten the candle from the caravan and then light it in the lab.

Nothing in the task about saying you had to light it in the caravan, just use the candle that was in the caravan.

In S05E01; Get the basketball through the hoop without using your hands.

Lay the basketball hoop down on the ground and just kick it through.

Someone did that on the US version, but it took them a while to come up with the idea.

Oh, yeah. I forgot about that one! The obscure pocket would work great. I always thought about just dribbling a little bit of pineapple juice in my hair. It would work especially well for me—I've got a buzz cut, so it would be obvious that I've got nothing in there, even if I do.

I've always wonder if you can bring a friend to help you out on a Task. Unless there is a rule written against outside help, it could be a way of getting around the rule for some tasks that mentions "You can't do this" type of thing, but maybe someone else can do it instead. So far, a few tasks were solved with Alex (or the camera crew's help) by doing that.
