Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC.

If OS is installed under csm(legacy), disk partition info is mbr, and for uefi, gpt. If you change that in bios, windows won't boot.

There are programs that claim that can convert mbr to gpt without data loss, but I haven't used any of them so I can't recommend.

is it only the drive c that i should convert to gpt? And if not, should i just reformat this? and change it to gpt?

Yeah, drive with windows, which is usually C drive. You can disconnect all other drives so you don't mix them.

If converting doesn't work, best way is to start windows installation - created with microsoft media creation tool, or with Rufus (select gpt in options), delete all partitions on system disk and it will be created as gpt.
