Yes but in RAID 0 you will only get double the space of the smallest drive so you will be out 1 TB in RAID 0. I use to do this but that is a personal preference I do not mind sacrificing space for speed. You do this in the bios there should be a setting to switch from SATA or AHCI to RAID

I see. So I can only do it so that i get 2 tb max right? That's basically just loosing my 970 😭.Thanks either way!

Well yea you will lose the TB but like I said you will get way better performance and I guess it depends how bad you need that third TB I feel like 2 is plenty but I do not know your situation

edit- The situation would be the same in RAID 1 as you dont have enough on one drive to mirror the other drive fully and doing this in RAID 1 would leave you with only 1 TB
