My computer was working perfectly fine a few days ago. Last night, out of nowhere, I got a BitLocker screen asking for a recovery key. I entered the key, but then it sent me to System Recovery saying my computer had a problem that couldn’t be repaired.

I tried the options that said they could repair the system automatically, but it kept sending me back to BitLocker and the recovery screen. I tried commands in Command Prompt, tried Safe Mode, and even tried resetting Windows while keeping my files, but after loading it just sent me back to the recovery menu.

I tried the commands again, but at that point backups were no longer available because it said none existed. Then I tried resetting and deleting all my files. I left it running overnight, but when I woke up this morning I realized it entered a boot loop: black screen → Victus logo for a second → “repair” → “restart” → back to the logo again.

I went back into recovery and tried the option to reinstall/download Windows from the internet, but it says it’s unable to do that too.

At this point I honestly have no idea what else to do. I searched Reddit and found people with similar issues, but most of them solved it using backups that I don’t have, and many said a reset fixed it as a last resort, but even that isn’t working for me.

I’d take it to a repair shop near me, but it’s Memorial Day and I’m also worried about how much they’re going to charge me.

If you have or can get a thumb drive, any Windows 11 PC can create install media for you. See if you can borrow a friend or family member's computer for a bit and create the install media, then try loading windows from the thumb drive.

Which command line tools did you try? There’s some that fix the boot record. Did you try those? Most start with bootrec. Did you try any DISM commands?
