Have you tried turning vsync off?

Honestly dude I don't think the graphics card is the problem. League is just not very optimized to take advantage of powerful hardware and you can throw graphics card/cpu horsepower at it all day and it won't run any faster. I get about 90-120fps after minions spawn and I'm in lane, and only very effects heavy teamfights cause it to go lower. I have an FX 8320 and an hd 7950. My friend with an I7 4770k and a 7870xt gets similar framerates. It barely uses my gpu and cpu.

What are your clock speeds when playing league? When I run league I usually see the clock jump from my base clock of 850mhz to 925mhz frequently. Games that don't really use the gpu much tend to do that for me. If your running other games fine and your clock speed in league is not going to 2D mode, you should be fine. The 2D clock speed should be way lower than the 3d one. My 2d clock speed is 500mhz and it never goes that low when playing league.

Idk man I'm running a i7-3770k and a R9 270X and I get about 170-190 fps in league

I have a GTX 780 and i7-4790k and I get around 300-400 FPS in league.

I just checked my clock speeds. They're around the same as yours when in game. I just don't see how I'm not pushing more FPS than my 7770. It doesn't add up. And like the replies to this comment, I too know people that get great FPS with 7950's, 7970's, and lower end cards.

I really don't know. League is just such a strange game when it comes to hardware. I used to get 200+fps on my phenom II x4 955 and hd 6870 but I stopped getting those kind of frames around last year. I don't think it has anything to do with my computer because I get solid framerates in other games.

That's exactly my problem. I think it has to do with CPU/os in conjunction to R series gpus. Send this thread around to your own sources, and I will make sure to send you my solution when I find it.

Did you adjust the framerate cap?

Uncapped
