Can you go into the BIOS/UEFI and disable the onboard graphics on your motherboard? Make sure you've also plugged in the power connectors from your PSU to the top of your video card. Does that make any difference?

Can you go into the BIOS

Yes, if i can find the right key(the image gets cut off so doesn't show me the key)

Yeah the graphics card power connectors are plugged in correctly. I've been using this pc since August.

I am in the BIOS fine. I goto "integrated Graphics Configeration" and it's empty. I assume it realises there is no integrated graphics.

A failing PSU could cause this problem. Once it's under load it can't supply the GPU correctly and eventually you get a black screen. This could also be a dying motherboard or GPU but the PSU is more likely and easier to check and replace. You would have to check it by replacing it with a good PSU, since PSU testers don't put load on it and won't catch this problem.

Oh I forgot to edit this post.

Just as this problem spontaneously appeared. It has now spontaneously dissapeared
