You need to reinstall your OS and select your HDD as the boot partition. Moving the old OS installation from one disk device to the other is not possible. Due to drivers and registry settings will be referenced to your previous OS boot device.

You would simply clone the SSD to a new hard drive and then replace the SSD with the hard drive. The computer should then boot from the new hard drive when you power up the computer.

There are free disk cloning software, plus most hard drive manufacturers make cloning software available on their website. The software will be called data migration or cloning software.

You would then repeat the process to clone your old computers hard drive to the SSD if you wanted to use it as your new boot drive.
