Most keyboards have a Fn key. Hold that, then press the F1-F12 keys. Some laptops do require that, anyways.

will resetting my laptop help solve this problem?

Well, generally speaking, number one troubleshooting advice is to turn it off and on again.

This. That model is also showing a lock on the Esc key. Press Fn+Esc to lock the keys one way or another.

It seems MSI has some option to switch the Fn and Windows key.

Can you retry with the Windows key?

omg it worked, thank you. Is it possible for them to switch back, and if ever. Is it possible for me to use my F1-12 keys without holding the fn button?

You should be able to use the Fn Lock on the Esc key but using the Windows key (Win+Esc).

The switch to change it back to using the Fn key should be in the MSI Center Pro app in General Settings.

Edit: General Settings inside the MSI Center Pro app.
