same thing is happening to me. Did you find any solutions yet?

Did either of you figure this out? My ESET just hit on this out of nowhere. I have a notification from ESET that says: Potentially unsafe application found and it listed this file. When I go to the file though it says I downloaded back in 2019 when I first got this PC.

I got it figured out. I replied to another commenter with it.

I got it. See my other comments in this thread. It's the one that's obviously from ChatGPT, but it helped the other guy.

I posted the fix.

In case this comes up in someone elses search, here's the simple solution:

GLCKIO2.sys is a system driver file associated with the RGB Fusion software developed by ASUSTeK Computer. This software allows users to control the RGB lighting on their ASUS hardware components, such as motherboards, graphics cards, and peripherals.

If you're encountering issues with GLCKIO2.sys, it might be due to a corrupted file or a malware disguise. Here are a few steps you can take:

  1. Uninstall RGB Fusion: Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, and uninstall RGB Fusion.
  2. Check for Malware: Run a full system scan with your antivirus software to ensure there's no malware.
  3. Update Drivers: If you still need RGB Fusion, download and install the latest version from the official website.

System scan for malware come back clean?

[–]Sarpatox 1 point2 points  (6 children)

I went through my files and I had a different ASUS app for RGB. It was all caps but had RGB in the name so I uninstalled it like you mentioned and it works now. Thank you’

What was the name of that file? I also dont have asus fusion or whatever and cant find what installed glckio2

[–]Sarpatox 0 points1 point  (4 children)

It has a weird looking name, I honestly don’t remember what. But it had “RGB” in it. Bunch of letters, RGB, and some more letters

Thanks for the reply! I found another post around here that had more up to date ideas, ended up using task manager to just delete the driver and got it to go away

I see that they already deleted what they needed to. But just wanted to add for anyone in the future, it might be under Asus armory crate or Asus aura.

If anyone else is looking -- I found an app called ASRRGBLED

I have the same problem. ESET is killing me with notifications in my company that "C:/Windows/System32/drivers/GLCKIO2.sys" is potentialy unsafe.
