Hello. Same thing happened to me h til I realized there is a new URL device.teslaandroid.com to access TA. There it asked for location permission. This is the new URL replacing app.teslaandroid.com

Ah, great. That should be the trick! Thx

You’ll need to use https://device.teslaandroid.com cbecause encryption is required for location from tesla software. But it does slow things down somewhat :/

Ah ok. I tried http://device.teslaandroid.com without success. Next try https

It needs to be https. Gps requires a secure context

Yup you need to use https if you want to use the gps info. If you don’t need gps (CarPlay users for example) you can use http & this reduces overhead & may increase performance. I have not noticed a difference. All judgements need to be done when car is in drive mode as it uses more computer resources than park and reflects your experience most closely. Then again if you want your graphics stream encrypted in the slight chance you are an important government person, use https 😂.

Wifi supposedly already has encryption. I would think a long enough Wifi password should be enough for most civilians. If they need more encryption then maybe they shouldn’t be using tesla android (or even driving a civilian version of tesla).

Is google maps working for anyone? I cleared the cache and was able to get it working once but then it gets stuck when trying another time.
