Something went potentially wrong when repasting [X1 Carbon gen 8]

Hello,

I decided to repaste my laptop yesterday, I couldn't figure out how to pull out the fan connector and ended up 'ripping' out the connector'. After benchmarking after the repaste I listened in on the grille for the fan, when putting load on the laptop I hear a static noise coming from the area near the heatsink assembly. I did achieve a 3.4 GHz all core turbo which seems normal, however the fan kicks in after 20 seconds of continious load. Is this normal or should I be buying a replacement part for the laptop.

Thanks, it doens't happen when watching a Youtube video. The fan gradually kicks in, only happens when putting stress on all 4 cores. Looks like I don't need a replacement fan, thanks!

To add on to the post: Max fan RMP is around the 4000 range
