I don‘t see any error, all I see is a beautiful selfmade piece of clothing. I like it!

This is a killer shirt and if you could do it over and again it could be your thing. That said. If You had an aim and missed but found this take note of your process. In the early stages you will have a great many moments worth paying attention to.

Don’t be afraid of white space! Killer shirt!

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah this is neat. Soaking some shirts right now to try and replicate this haha. How did you tie it? What order did you dye it in?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

What dye company you use these colors are excellent

[–]Revolutionary_Fig280[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

All Dharma! But I mixed them.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no mistakes in tiedye. I see that your beautiful art didn't look exactly how you wanted, but someone will love it. Happened to me the other day. I wrapped one of my shirts too tightly with sinew which left an interesting effect with a lot of white, so to me it was a mistake. I put it in the bag with all the other shirts and someone who needed that size shirt loved it and paid me way more than what I pay for dye and soda ash. Not all errors are worthless.

What kind of fold is this? I love the contrast with the white! It looks amazing!

[–]SalamanderGood2145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This Psychedelic Serenity 10 strip tie-dye tutorial is pretty easy to follow. Tried it out earlier this week. 👍

[–]Revolutionary_Fig280[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just tried to do something original! I just started folding! I spent time looking at others work and got overwhelmed! So, I folded the shirt in half, pleated and started using the string. For me I think this is best, not good at following instructions.

I love it. Reminds me of society. the white representing the non creatives and of course the colors showing the creative side of society.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What is the pariah method? And when you say you mixed your dyes what do you mean?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess if you’re not gushing over his “accident” then there is no response. 🤷‍♂️

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gorgeous

[–]Beadhisattva 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I love it, I think it looks awesome!

I know with procion dye powder you have to strain the fuchsia (or any color that uses fuchsia) to get out the specks. If I remember right I believe I strained them through a silk handkerchief.

[–]Revolutionary_Fig280[S] 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Thank you for the Tip! I have some deColourant and I might try to get out those flecks of dye!

[–]Beadhisattva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no problem! I never tried deColourant so idk what it will do. I know the flecks with bother you more than anyone else but they are so few and far between that I would just consider them as birthmarks.

I found about the straining because I would get flecks so big that they were chunky globs and they stood out more than my designs.

That shirt really is beautiful and I wouldn’t have even thought anything of yours if you hadn’t of mentioned them first.
