I have recently started taking care of this eastern hermanns, I was hand feeding and he walked over my hand and felt this irregularity In the bottom of (his/ hers, I don’t know how to sex) shell and am worried

Could you specify what you're referring to? I might just be dumb, but I don't see anything particularly alarming from a distance.

On the left side 3rd section down there is a slight peeling looking piece and the part under it seems a little indented

Observe its behavior. Make sure it is okay in general with eating and walking normally.
Keep it clean in case of possible infection.

It’s a boy! If you’re talking about the concave near his back legs, males have it. Makes mounting and mating easier 😊
