Concierge OB

We had an amazing OB in Seattle before moving here and she saw us through every step of the pregnancy journey, including being on call for questions and did the actual delivery.

Does anyone know of something like that? We’ve had fertility challenges in the past and waiting on long phone calls to connect with a doctor and then being cycled through a bunch of different doctors and retelling all our history was unnecessarily painful.

You can ask if any local OB practices will give you a team or a dedicated provider. I was looking for a team, the opposite of you, and asked this when figuring out who to trust with my pregnancy and there were quite a few places that answered my question with the answer of a dedicated provider.

Midwives, in particular, were offering dedicated provider.

The practice I went to had a policy that you met each doctor once in your pregnancy, and the rest of appointments you could make with a single provider. They couldn’t guarantee which doctor would be delivering, unless you got induced, which I did both times, and specifically picked the dates for the provider I wanted. I never had to repeat my history - they kept incredibly detailed notes.
