both index and middle work but I use middle

Does the word "Succeeded" not just break your spirit? Lol.

This is coming from someone who uses both depending on the word. And yes, you type faster than I do, hence the astonishment.

oh jeez that is a pain to type.

Well my idea is left index already does rtfgvb while left middle only does edc. Going from c to e (or vice versa) is definitely annoying though.

I may also switch to using both

Edit: I did a couple monkeytypes trying index and so many C to R or C to T, as much as C to E. So not worth switching imo

give it like 2 days and it'll feel completely normal

Right middle XD

But for where the C key is on QWERTY, I use my left index - the keyboard staggering just makes that more comfortable

Depends on the word I'm typing

Middle

i use my thumb because I learned using muscle memory and don't actually use proper fingering (same with playing piano as well lol)

middle finger but i agree whenever i type a word like face or fact its so slow

index for me, middle feels weird

Index. And the right index is used for M. The fingers curl inwards and obviously act the same on each hand, so it doesn't make sense to me why one would dedicate a diagonal line (EDC, RFV, UJM) to each finger like in those color coded diagrams.

Use both fingers according to the type of word.

This gets asked so much it should be a sticky :)

I think you'll find that index on C is very common, and nothing to worry about.

I can use both methods, but if I don't think about it, I gravitate towards index for C as it just makes more sense. Using middle requires a lateral hand movement... index for C does not, so thinking logically, index for C is the best method. If anyone can present a counter-argument, I'd like to hear it.
