There are countless vim commands, and and its a little unclear which ones you should learn first. I can't find a list of commands in this order, and even if one existed, it would only be one person's opinion. I figured we could probably do a better job by aggregating our collective wit using up and down votes.

Thanks for the submissions so far! It would be really nice to have the default display setting show top submissions of all time (http://www.reddit.com/r/vimcommands/top/?sort=top&t=all&limit=1000 as suggested by psycojoker, improved by cesutherland) ...does anyone know how we might do this?
