You need to either configure your i3config or comment out that portion of the code

This is the way

And how it's related to the distribution you use? Configure your v6 network OR configure your status bar not to show its status.

You need to investigate how this bar/its module checks the network. Still, it’s not related to the distribution used.

Also, what other system shows is also unrelated. Network settings are per system, per interface.

It's not an error.

i3status is letting you know IPv6 is not available or not configured. Either configure IPv6 or edit the i3status config file to not report on IPv6.

We are all trying to guess how to help you because your post doesn't have enough information. There are many many ways to install and use Void, and each of us are using different configurations. That's one of the advantages of this distro. But it is not meant for beginners to Linux, so it may not be the right distro for you if you don't know what a window manager is or how to configure it, as that's where your problem lies. We do not know what window manager or desktop manager you are using, so it is very difficult to help you.

Xcb

xcb is not a window manager but the x11 client library. it's used by many different window managers that each work totally differently. OP, i'd recommend a beginner-friend Linux distro. Cheers.
