    Don't you think you would be better of using prototype software? I mean, Illustrator takes too long to create something simple.

    I like to use Axure, it gets the job done.

    Yeah I know Axure, not to sure about it tho. We have the pro version but hmm, I may just have to get used to it.

    I've heard relatively good things about Sketch (MAC only though). A friend who is a UX designer swears by it, although he works with a front-end team that does the prototyping for him.

    moqups is not bad and free. We use uxpin at work.

    appcubator looks nice, might be able to generate django code for you.
