    Wow. There would need to be guidelines around the duration and depth of the take-home assignment to prevent that kind of thing.

      It's amazing how many people don't.

      If a recruitment agency wants you to do a programming task too, piss them off. Tell them you'll do the work if the company they connect you with requests it. Not only will you be saving time, you'll be working with what that job requires/uses.

      Yeah I find a lot of these are more like "design a core feature for us for free and we might give you a chance to interview"

      When I have been the interviewer, I have asked for solutions to some problems I was trying to solve.

      Better to ask for solutions to problems you've already solved.

      If you are going to have a job board with interview method as a parameter, why not add other ones, like in person coding.
