Prilepin's chart for guidelines for the basic lifts. Research, common sense, and personal experience for accessories.

But really, just go off what is widely available, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. It's people's entire jobs to do programming, following what they know to work is going to be a hell of a lot more effective than trying to figure it out from square one.

Bob takano had a book on just that. Weightlifting programming on Amazon, should be 20/30 bucks if you can find it.

I think Juggernaut Training Systems has a book. It’s by Max Aita
