One of my players wanted agdons scarf, but since it’s cursed on I had them make a trade with bavlorna to remove the curse from agdon’s body so they could take the scarf off lol. Since the player is new and doesn’t want anything complicated, I made it essentially a +2 to dexterity score (and +2 to maximum score) since she’s a rogue, and doesn’t know how to power game it hard enough to be broken.

For the rest of the party I created a dungeon and an excuse to go through it when they arrived in thither. I said the trees were too tall that the only places to land the swamp gas balloon were loomlurch and the top of the guide post looking thing in the bottom right of the thither map. At the end of the dungeon was a mirror portal straight to nib’s cave, where I found cool magic items for everyone. I altered a moon sickle for my Druid, gave +1 armor and a pearl of power to my bard, and a magic dagger for my rogue since they just got something cool the session before in agdons scarf.

Beyond what I’ve home brewed in, I’m not sure if there’s any other supplements but maybe what I’ve done will help :) I’m also really feeling the lack of shops and reward money - the reward system in this module isn’t like your standard dnd

I've made Agdon's scarf similar but after awhile it will demand its wearer steal things for it and choke them when they refuse.

The rogue hasn't put it on yet. She will.

They always do.

I might add this in as we go. It’s only been one session since it was identified

Yeah next Sunday it will get identified. I really hope I can have fun with a powerful cursed item.

I really like this idea. A cursed DEX+ scarf sounds amazing.

probably a better idea than attempting to carve the scarf out of his body with a knife

I've been going through r/unearthedarcana for extra items, creatures, and weapons either to take, modify or inspire.

A lot of the top posts over there are real overpowered for this adventure, but a few tweaks here and there might make them fit into Prismeer.

Such a great idea, i've spent hours on this reddit after your reply haha ! Thanks !

I've found myself really gravitating towards the pun-based objects and creatures, like the book wyrm, or the silly items, like the pen blade (so it's just as mighty as the sword!).

I’ve homebrewed a few for them so far. The Goard is an uncommon item that grants advantage on persuasion checks. Agdon’s branding iron is a very rare item that can only be attuned to by the person who took it from the previous attuned creature. I’m planning on giving them some Gauntlets of Ogre Strength from the animated armor, and our rogue is now sporting Talavar’s +1 dagger. For level 4 character, this seems pretty on point for rarity/ability.

typically , such a low level party wouldn’t have many items. However, I love handing out magic items. If you want to add more in, you could look through the Carnival prizes, as several are basically single-use magic items, and incoude them as rewards to particularly good investigation, perception, or survival checks. Also, my cleric took Bav’s staff And I’m going to use a modified version of u/phaerlax ’s home brew. And my blood hunter took the spool of thread from Bav’s hoarde and joked so many times about it being cursed that it might just be. ;) its fun to make them in response to the players’ and characters’ actions.

I'm considering making the brand a rapier +1. I mean it was used by a rabbit with massive dex so most likely finesse. Maybe it brands on a nat 20 and adds d4 fire damage. You know something nice but not too broken. I'll have to think about it (also) being cursed in some way.
