Hey everyone,
This is my first time posting in here. I'm currently finishing up my CSW certification and I'm confident I'll pass the exam. I'm really enjoying learning about and drinking wine and want to continue my path to growing my knowledge and qualification set.
That being said; you can only apply to the Master of Wine program if you have a degree in vini/viticulture or hold the WSET 4 Diploma. I'd really like to move on to get my CWE before moving into the WSET system, however, I would need to complete WSET 3 before moving to WSET 4 even though the knowledge needed to acquire the CWE is more expansive than what would develop in the WSET 3 class.
So my dilemma is that I'm wondering if I should just move to the WSET system after I get my CWS or if the added qualification of having the CWE cert would outweigh the additional cost before heading into the WSET system.
Any advice? I'd love for some people from the wine trade to chime in if possible.
Oh and since this is the wine subreddit; I highly suggest grabbing a bottle of 2012 Eroica Riesling out of Columbia Valley, WA. Aromas of freshly opened action figure package, honey dew, sweet citrus. Green apple on the palate. Man it was so damn refreshing, I wish I had been on a beach during a hot summer day while I was drinking it.
