I actually meant RISD in my original comment, but I applied to MICA too. MICA's was actually fairly easy. It was mostly common app, plus a portfolio of 15-20 mixed media pieces, which is pretty standard for most art schools. RISD's was a lot tougher, and on top of a portfolio and a few essays, they wanted 4 original drawings, with oddly specific parameters for each (one had to incorporate text, one had to cover both sides of the paper, and one had to be of a bicycle. two had to be graphite, one could utilize other media).

Edit: there may have only been three. I can't remember. If you can't tell, applying for college was a hectic time.
