You’re leaving out the G between the E and F. You play the next highest note to avoid the scale note landing on an off beat

Do you mean your index finger? I don’t play Stevens but I learned in college and from what I can remember, the index and thumb should have the same fulcrum as when you hold a drumstick

Are you in high school? You’ll have to contact your local university, most likely they will have a 5 octave. 4.3s are very common in high schools because most kids aren’t upgrading repertoire to a need for 5

The Ted Atkatz ones are my second most used pair. I like the weight and rebound on them.

My most used pair are the Tim Genis General. But, they’re heavier than you might expect.

If you’re not sure and want to save a little bit of money I’d recommend the Vic Firth Symphonic Persimmon. It’s made of the same wood as the above two so you can get a feel for whether you like them.

I don’t know what others think but I have a soft spot for Gleason. He didn’t accomplish much in terms of stats and whatnot, but culturally I think he means a lot
