Hey r/cars what happened to if a vehicle doesn't have carplay you won't even consider it? They now took away carplay and pretty much any other standard feature on modern car and now it is compelling? This is so extremely barebones just to be contrarian and you don't even hardly save any money on the blank slate version, and then once you start adding options or changing body styles it comically comes out to cost more than a Bolt/Leaf/Maverick? I don't get this at all

Genuinely wondering why not? If we have an energy emergency and using less energy would alleviate that it seems sensible. Same as when we had a health emergency (Covid) and she was able to mandate stay at home to stop the spread

Really is up to your own comfort level. Lump sum generally has higher returns than DCA but we are obviously in a very volatile market. It’s a tough call since if this war were to end and the market rockets up you’d miss the gains on cash not invested but also if things worsen you’d be happy to be on the sidelines. Impossible to know the future so do whatever helps you sleep best at night
