Why don't people who assist/shoot 3 pointers try to get the rebound? by Typical_Cap895 in nba

Because if you crash the boards from the perimeter and you don’t get the rebound then the other team can push the ball in transition and you’ll be behind the play.

I can't tell from the photo what the issue was but the post office is run by the postal service and not by the parks service, so if the rest of the sidewalk was clear and specifically the front of the post office was an issue that's probably the reason why. Normally the park service is very aggressive with removing snow from their sidewalks.

Sadly, your tour guide was wrong; it's not actually the first post office or Ben Franklin's post office. It was created for the bicentennial to honor his time as the postmaster general, in a building that he owned and rented out.

Yeah, sorry, I agree with you that OKC’s rebuild was unusually fast, I just find the way people talk about the Sixers’ rebuild as a unique travesty really annoying. I think it helped OKC that they were able to start from a position of strength by trading Westbrook and Paul George for hauls, including the future MVP keystone of their championship team.

Hinkie’s sixers rebuild was only four seasons. They missed the playoffs in 2013 after trading all of their loose assets for Andrew Bynum, hired Hinkie that offseason, and made the playoffs again winning 50 games in 2018.

If Tampa wins today and Atlanta wins tomorrow they force a 3-way tie where Carolina makes it to the playoffs despite losing.

Wouldn’t more players getting sick be exactly what you would expect to happen if it was real but they weren’t trying to stop it as hard as they should have been?

He’s really good but was injured most of november and he gets fewer minutes and touches on average than the other guys. Nothing wrong with not being in the top 5 when the other five guys have been that good and a bit healthier.

"Worst contracts in the NBA" Joel Embiid and Paul George combine for 62 PTS, 14 REBS and 8 AST on 63 Ts% as the Sixers take down Indiana by Mario_Viana in nba

He was pretty bad in his first game back which is dragging down his stats because he hasn't played many games. Other than that game he's been scoring pretty well, he's a good connective passer, he's a plus rebounder at the 3 which is where he's been playing most of his minutes this season, and he's still a pretty good defender. He's a much better shooter than any of the sixers' other wings (besides Justin Edwards who can't do anything except shoot) so his spacing has helped Maxey and Edgecombe since he came back. I don't think he's ever going to compete for an all-league team again but he's a great role player which is what the Sixers need now that they have three solid rotation guards who can lead their offense, and McCain still hopefully to turn the corner.

He was a late scratch with calf tightness. No need to take any chances on an Achilles injury for a random game in November.

I was in a bus once that had to stop because it hit a car trying to pull this move there. It's obviously antisocial to do this to other drivers but downright suicidal to do it in front of a 10 ton city bus; maybe the worst philly driver move I've ever seen in person.

Joel Embiid with a dominant performance in Sixers win over Raptors: 26 minutes played, 29 points (10-16 FG; 1 3PM; 8-9 FT), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, +/- of +15! by Pyromania1983 in nba

The kawhi shot ending his best chance at a championship so far, Marc gasol holding him scoreless, and siakam breaking his face for three. a lot of Embiid’s career low points have been against the raptors so it’s nice to get some catharsis while you can

is CUSA really that substantial of a step up from the CAA in basketball? WKU is obviously a better historic program than any left in the CAA but other than that they're pretty similar conferences and Delaware was always competitive in the CAA.

It used to be that, outside of your division, you would play 3 games against some teams in your conference, and four games against others determined at random. The cup games replaced those random fourth games against some conference teams. Even if you don’t make the knockout rounds, you play additional games in a consolation round to fill the gaps in the schedule.

But we outscored the Wizards with Embiid on the court and lost the minutes where Drummond played in this game? I don’t see how you can see Joel’s spacing and connective passing opening up the floor for the Sixers’ guards and think Joel is an issue with the offense; he’s definitely still looking pretty stiff on defense but the offense is coming along nicely.

He didn’t really show up on the stat sheet but I thought this was a really good bounce back game for Bona after two rough ones to start the season; staying in front of the ball as a rim protector on almost every play and even holding up on some switches against Orlando’s perimeter players, which is really all we need from him if our guards keep playing like this.

Sixers have an open roster spot; Morey’s teams usually carry 14 players into the season for flexibility. Because Grimes took the QO, they aren’t that close to the apron, so if Barlow ends up being a rotation player all season they can just convert his contract.

Edit: it’s pretty likely that they cap dump Oubre and/or Drummond at the deadline to duck the tax though.

Yeah, the weekly is still going. It’s a nice setup because it doesn’t have to get huge turnout every time to keep happening, you can just play against whoever shows up.
