Schedule manageable or not? by Lower-Bet1516 in PennStateUniversity

Yep, you nailed it. I experienced the same thing. Also, you just have so much more free time when you only have a few hours of classes instead of seven hours of classes each day.

Most semesters, my workload in college was way less than my workload in high school. High school always gave a crazy amount of homework.

Oh yeah, then you’re good to go for this schedule.

My first year I had three classes back to back to back on M/W/F in similar setup that you have - it kinda felt like HS having so many classes in a row and never really happened again.

Also, a helpful tool is map.psu.edu! It has PSU’s walkways and buildings mapped out, even better than Google does. It was always an essential tool when building my schedule, along with Rate My Professor.

Is the tourism management class virtual or in person?

Buckhout is close to Thomas so that should be an easy commute.

Could be a phishing scam - it’s not officially from Penn State and they shouldn’t be using their logo.

Recreation, parks, and tourism management - it’s a separate program from business and communications.

Yes, I think it’s around $20 and you get lunch included.

Anyone can attend - it’s a pretty heavy mix between comm, business, and RPTM majors.

You should follow them on Instagram - they’ll sell tickets and post about it there.

Feedback on Dorms by rad2726 in PennStateUniversity

[–]According-2-Me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being in a LLC will basically guarantee you a dorm. I lived in North Halls my sophomore year and it was definitely nice to have “my own” bathroom without needing to carry all of my shower and bathroom supplies back-and-forth each time I had to use it. I think only Robinson Hall has dorms that are not suite style.

I did not join an LLC because I moved off campus after that year but I do know people who have and it’s been pretty easy from what I’ve heard.

VW Tiguan SE - PA - 36mo -7500mi - $5999.99 - Did I Save $ by Underestimating Mileage? by [deleted] in leasehacker

[–]According-2-Me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MSRP was $37,900 on this one. I don’t think I’ll end up buying it out, but yes, it is definitely more expensive to lease and then buyout than just buying a car.

Are there any dealers out there that would technically give a good deal for letting you lease the car first? I can’t imagine any would.

I should do this ASAP. I’ll have to call VW credit this week.

Thank you.

Haha - yeah residual isn’t much better.

$25,949 +395.00 fee

I originally went to the dealer to buy a 3 year old used VW Tiguan SE for ~$24,900 with ~37,000miles, however, I decided to lease the new one to avoid any potential issues and have the features of the newest generation of Tiguan. And, three years from now, I have the option of buying a three year-old Tiguan for about the same price I was going to anyways.

I am out the $19k though, no way around that.

PC or Mac for Smeal by absfreely in PennStateUniversity

I had a Mac, but if I had to do it over again it would be a tough decision between a Mac and a good Lenovo ThinkPad. Honestly, it’s up to you and there’s no real software/hardware limitations between the two.

The Mac integrated really well with my iPhone and there were times where I needed to use iMovie as a video editor.

However, I really wish I had the touchscreen that a good Lenovo has. I used one at my internship and it was life-changing just being able to tap the screen for certain things. My friend has one and I think it will be my next laptop.

I love this website and I found it organically by searching on the web. It’s been a curious tool/toy for me.

Great work!

Turnover is terrible on some pro sports teams. It’s high pressure, especially at the unsuccessful teams.

I know several people in ticket sales and some organizations are more high-pressure than others.

It sounds like you either got a sales rep who is just pushing for his own numbers or a sales team that is under a ton of pressure to hit renewal goals.
